Polish uniform and rank question

#1

Post by spottedcow » 18 Jan 2018, 01:12

Greetings all,

I would like to know about this uniform, is it military? What rank do the two stars on the cap designate? Any and all information welcome. The photo was taken in Poland in May 1945.

Others may add/correct but I think he has pre-1939 style Polish Army field service cap. Two stars make him a porucznik (first lieutenant).
Communist Polish People's Army had the eagle without a crown. But I can't see if a crown is there or not ?
If there is, he could be from Home Army.
