The official AHF Poland quiz thread

Post by Marcus » 17 Aug 2009 18:25

We've had several different quizes running here in the forum for a while with great success and this new section has been open for a long while without one, so I'm starting one here too.

The rules are very simple:
The first one to post the correct answer to a question, posts a new question (must be on Poland during the 1919-1945 period) and so on.

Colonel Aleksander Krzyzanowski, comander of AK (Home Army) in Lithuania in 1944. He was using nickname "General Wolf" during negotiations with Soviets. He was promoted to rank of MG (posthumously) in 1994.

Good evening, Tobiasz!

The same as in Royal Navy, i.e. ORP Garland.

Best regards, Aleks

Gangut-class battleships, of which 2 were demanded by Poland during the Polish-Soviet peace talk in 1921?

Good evening, Ironmachine!

Well, this is really Russian dreadnought, but of another class. Hint 1: look to the South from the Baltic. Hint 2: look for the person, not for the ship.

Best regards, Aleks
