~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have always been interested why they use the "Koscielny" name in a Koscielny Square. I first noticed a picture in the Holocast Museum in Washington, DC. Jewish people walking across a bridge. More research showed me a nearby street-Plac Koscielny. In WW II, I read the Nazis took the jewish people's belongings to a building and/or the church in this area to divide the belongings. The area was also called the Ghetto. On this site I also see there is a airfield with the Koscielny name. Was there an important Koscielny in Poland?
Plac Kościelny is present in many cities and towns in Poland. It translates as Church Square.
