Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this RAD uniform that says "141/9" on it. Which unit was this person likely part of? Does the number reveal anything about where he was stationed? My sense from some of the other pictures found in the album is that he was stationed in Poland.

Best,
Scott

According to this list of RAD departments, group 141 was in district XIV Halle-Merseburg, however, RAD-Abt. 9/141 is not listed, see below:
http://forum.balsi.de/index.php?topic=2060.0

RAD group 141 Elsterwerder 01.10.1935, 1936 , 1938, 1939
RAD-Abt. 1/141 Elsterwerder 01.10.1935, 1936
RAD-Abt. 2/141 Elsterwerder 01.10.1935, 1936, 1938, 1939
RAD-Abt. 4/141 (see RKT Brandes, Walter)
RAD camp 5/141 Dommitzsch ad Elbe (source RK carrier Rammelt, Siegfried)
RAD-Abt. 6/141 Bad Liebenwerder 1939

According to this link on wiki for the Province of Halle-Merseburg, rural district 9 was for Saalkreis, so maybe RAD-Abt. 9/141 is based on this district?

Do you have other photos of him in his RAD and Heer uniforms?
