BTW, I was hoping to ask you: What do you think life was like in Sarny, Poland in the 1920s and 1930s? That's where a lot of my own Jewish relatives lived back then.

Alas, can't help you there. None of my family or friends/acquaintances came from that part of Poland (or Ukraina as it is now).
