Of interest concerning a fictioanl meeting between St M. Klobe...and...

Post by LAstry2 » 12 May 2022 16:24

On a Catholic TV station is a series called "Saints and Scroundrels" showing difference between Pro and Anto Catholic viewpoints ranginf from Historical {St thomas More vs Henry VIII] to Fictonial {St Francis vs Machahelli} Ond defantely fictioanl meeting is Bwtween St M. Klobe and Josef goebbels {at the ends Goebbels is converted after his cripple foot is healed by prayer}...Persoanlly I think it would have had more impact if it had been St M Klove vs A. Hitler....

What a contreast the ethnic German of Austria coming back to the "Future" father land preaching the New World Order {Nazism} vs an ehtnic German who chose to stay in "Inferior" Poland who was a humble servant of a relgion that Hitler hated and feared...

What really would have driven A.H. insane was the fact of Klobe praying that A.H. Will see the error of his ways of devoting his life to a puesedo racial religion for 26 years from 1919 to 1945.....since without Nazism...Hitler was nothing.....

Hi L'Astry

Do you mean St Maksymilian Kolbe? To be pedantic he was not an ethnic German - his father was, however his mother was Polish.

I suspect the problem here is that while I would not describe St Maksymilian as anti-Jewish per se, he certainly subscribed to some of the same loony conspiracy theories that AH did regarding Jewish/Freemasonry plots to dominate the world.
.since without Nazism...Hitler was nothing.....
I am not sure that is true. He was a man of extraordinary talents as a leader and opinion-former, I don't think many would deny that. Unfortunately for himself and for the world he applied them to what he did. Those talents applied to more worthy causes would have remained undiminished. I would suggest it is as much that without Hitler, Nazism was nothing as the other way around.

I suppose a guy capable of healing crippling illnesses just like that could always go far in politics...
