Always glad to give any limited help. however always temper my answers with the knowledge that I am much more aquainted with the US coast artillery than French coastal artillery.

You are totally correct in your ID. From ethe 95 mm gun in the background this id the french battery at Cape Griz Nez in 1940.

There are actually two guns on the picture: :wink:
1) Foreground: 24 cm Mle 1876
2) Background: 90 mm Mle 1877 "sur affût de bord" Mle 1916

Location: Fort du Chay in Royan (France)
