But I'm not sure about the differences between the Mle 1887, 1891 and 1893.

The Mle 1893/96 was also mounted on a railcar (164,7 mm TAZ Mle 1893/96).

I found this image on Ebay- I think french coastal gun but I am not sure. Can somebody identify the gun?

It's a French 95 mm Mle 1888 Latiholle at Fort de la Hougue in the Cotentin peninsula.

Hi Sturm78,

It's one of the two 240 mm Mle 1884 G.P. (G.P. = "Grande Puissance" = High Power) guns of the French Bastion I battery in Calais. More pictures here:

I think they are 24 cm (or 240 mm - the French Navy designation changed over time) Mle 1870-87 at the French coastal battery of "Pointe des Capucins" in Brest. :idea:
