RE pic from Sturm78 » 18 Oct 2017, 22:06 The gun is neither, I is one of 4 138 MM m 1910 guns mounted in 1936 on Fort Central on the mole of Cherbourg Harbor. They fired off all their ammunition in support of French ground troops and were then disabled by their crews in such a manner that they were unusable by the Germans. They were successful enough that the Germans were forced to rearm the fort with 3-captured British 3.7 in AA guns but these were removed in 1943 and the fort ended the war with 3 -37 mm AA guns.

An image from Ebay. I think an 164mm Mle 1893-96 gun in German use inside a bunker. Any idea about the battery ??

Thanks in advance.

Sturm 78,

Here are the answers for your last two pictures:

Sturm78
It is indeed a 164mm Mle 1893-96 gun aka 16,47 cm KM 93/96(f) in an M170 casemate at MKB Larmor (Brittany, France).

It is also a 16,47 cm KM 93/96(f) but this time at MKB Locqueltas (near Lorient - Brittany, France)
