RE pic from Sturm78 » 18 Oct 2017, 22:06 The gun is neither, I is one of 4 138 MM m 1910 guns mounted in 1936 on Fort Central on the mole of Cherbourg Harbor. They fired off all their ammunition in support of French ground troops and were then disabled by their crews in such a manner that they were unusable by the Germans. They were successful enough that the Germans were forced to rearm the fort with 3-captured British 3.7 in AA guns but these were removed in 1943 and the fort ended the war with 3 -37 mm AA guns.

It is indeed a 164mm Mle 1893-96 gun aka 16,47 cm KM 93/96(f) in an M170 casemate at MKB Larmor (Brittany, France).
