But at least the picture gft5 was taken after WW II, the aviso is showing a paint scheme adopted in about 1945!

Many thanks for the links :) I have been more and more interested about any information regarding the Franco-Thai War.
There's almost no information on it. I will do my best to translate this using Google. Vichy already had their hands full fighting off the British but then to Have Thailand invade their colony?? So weird.

Many prayers here in the US are going out Belgium. Take care of yourself.

More about the 3rd Infantry battalion that defeat the 5th Foreign legenaire ( 5e régiment étranger d'infanterie) from the 2nd battalion of 1st infantry regiment (the current status of the 3rd Infantry battalion ) - now become Royal guard unit

the Marine Operation in Pong Namron district of Chanthaburi as a part of Chanthaburi "division" (with actual size of regiment) Now get the new link:
1st Battalion (Marine) by Lieutenant Commander Luang Athukyothin
2nd Battalion (Marine) by Lieutenant Commander Sant Santiwasa
4th Cavalry (Army) by Major Khun Charoensuirakrai - replacing horses with bicycles later
Army communication company by Captain Sara Sravathana

Later one, Chanthaburi "division" got the additional units including
3rd Battalion (Marine) by Lieutenant Commander Thiang Sathianthai
Artillery Battalion (Marine) by Lieutenant Pradit Phoonket
Army Engineer Platoon by Lieutenant Prasoed Rodwanna
Field Police
