Good morning all,

Per ...

Article leads with his picture in uniform and a sample of his paintings.

He was with Fusiliers - Marines Commandos and at Sword Beach on D-Day.

Note "...a life of depression or..."

Must look up Walcheren Island.

Note the article's paragraph with his quote: "..,betrayed; the lies, and the fear". He's explaining what he went through and I was immediately thinking I was reading about Dostoyevsky's experience after his experience with a "fake" firing squad execution.
