Location of this AMC Schneider wreck?

Post by B Hellqvist » 13 Jul 2019 17:00

I'm researching a particular vehicle, an AMC Schneider P 16 #37127, which was knocked out in combat in 1940. On the excellent www.chars-francais.net website, there's a photo of the wreck with a long wall in the background. Does anyone recognize where this could be? As the vehicles were used by just five divisions (1er GRDI, 3e GRDI, 4e GRDI, 6e GRDI, 7e GRDI), I think I have a way of confirming the which unit it belonged to if the location can be identified.

Thanks in advance,
- Björn

Excellent! Actually, Lille was one of the places I looked at while checking the final locations of the units, but I had no way of finding the right part. That wall has been torn down since 1940. Anyway, many thanks for the links! Isn't the Internet one of the greatest inventions ever?
