Hello, may i ask if tank strength of French 4e and 7e DLM tank strength after rebuilt from 1er and 4e DLC respectively. I see 4e DLM apart from absorbing 1er DLC, also absorbed the armour of Groupment la Roche, what 's strength of that unit ?

And after rebuilding, what tank and number of tank did 4 and 7e DLM possessed on the eve of start of Fall Rot ? Thank

Hi, Loic, thank and I forget I ask before.

1er DCR was practically destroyed in Fall Gelb, but I see she only received a Renault-35 battalion, did she get other reinforcement ? I see 2e DCR getting much more tanks after Gelb.

the 1st DCR was rebuilt with only a third of its initial fighting potential early june, never fought as a gathered armored division but rather by scattered skirmishing detachments destined to cover the withdraw of the remnants of the 7e Armée
10 R35 of 1er BCC and 5 more from the 53e joined the 14th and 18th june when 34e BCC reduced to only 8 had already lost 31 tanks the previous week

Hi, Loic, thank for your help.

From Lee Sharp book volume II, 1er DCR had received 25e and 34e BCC. 34e was normal R-35 tank battalion but 25e BCC had 24 x R-40 which had 37mm L35 gun with much better antitank capability in comparsion to normal R-35 which only had short barrelled 37mm L21 gun.

Apart from most powerful 4e DCR in early June 1940, 2eDCR seemed to be very strong armored force as she received 2 x R-35/40 battalions with total 59 x strong R-40 and 31 x obselote R-35, she only received 3 companies of Renault B2 and 1 company of H-39. Also she only received five Laffly W15 Tank destroyers.

Regarding 5 x rebuilt DLM, abeit so called division, but they only received less than 30 AFV, did their manpower still had 10000 men in June 1940 ? Thank

3e DIM still kept 13 x Schneider P-16 half-tracks and 13 x Panhard 178 and three left DLC still kept its Hotchkiss tanks and Panhard on the eve of Fall Rot ? Thank
