Re: Help to Id. US plane
No C-47s were provided to Turkey under Lend Lease in WW2 despite there having been a request for 6 on 23rd Feb 1942. They were told they were not available at that time.
In 1948 C-47s were supplied along with P-47s and B-26s.

Re: Help to Id. US plane
The first c-47s were bought from the RAF in Cairo in 1945 by the turkish state airlines. “6004” was one of the first 18 military c-47As to arrive in 1948 (bought by funds from the national budget in 1946). Following 81 were from the US aid programme.

Re: Help to Id. US plane
I would say that due to the construction of the wing tip floats, 4 engines, and single tail that this is a JRM MARTIN mars flying boat from WW II. This was the largest allied flying boat in use and was used for flying cargo and passengers. Only 7 were produced and 4 saw post war civilian service as aerial firefighting aircraft. Source of photo is WIKI.

Re: Help to Id. US plane
Each aircraft was named with a pacific location followed by the word "Mars". The markings on this one near the cockpit seem to say "Marianas Mars".
Re: Help to Id. US plane
Yup, that's it, BuNo 76821. Crashed in the early 1960s in civilian firefighting service.

Re: Help to Id. US plane
Okay, try Seversky SEV-2S "Executive". Modified for civilian use circa 1937. Tis but a simple task to cut out a couple of panel and install plexiglass; if you looked on the starboard side, you'd see it comes with windowed access hatch. A careful squint into the port side windows shows the larger starboard side and a close look at the starboard shows at least one of the portside windows. Note tail number R18Y. First modification, same plane, was X18Y.
