When the AVG pilots saw the British Buffaloes they wanted to trade their P-40's for them because they felt the Buffalo was more manueverable and more reliable with its radial engine. Imagine what would have happened if they got their wish instead of the Flying Tigers we might have had the Flying Buffaloes...doesn't have a very good ring to it.
