Wright R-2600 Twin Cyclone engine

#1

Post by century1808 » 18 Mar 2017, 06:30

Hi, I'm putting together an alternate history of the build up to WW2 and in early 1936 I want to use the Wright R-2600 radial engine for a series of aircraft for the FAA. Unfortunately in the real world this engine was plagued with all kinds of problems. Does anyone know how they were finally resolved?
Thanks.

I have thank you. Those fixes were recommended in 1943 - that's seven years after it was first run. The FAA can't wait that long....thanks.
