Boys Anti Tank Rifles, PI, 1942?

I've come across several online references to the Philippine Army and Scouts using some numbers of the Boys Anti-Tank rifle. Many of these sites are obviously copy and paste types, however some are not. Does anyone know if the Boys was used in the PI by the Philippines Army or the US? If so, how did they get them?

IF they had them remember the Ship carrying the 212 Transport vehicles for the Canadian Brigade at Hong Kong had to put into Manila on December 7th, 1941. SS Don Jose was carrying their Bren Carriers, Trucks and heavy equipment.
