Good morning all,

Above has photos of some American movie stars who served in the military (a couple of technical exceptions) during WWII.

The photo gallery starts with Bob Hope.

Note that Jacky Coogen participated in Operation Broadway that involved Orde Wingate's Chindits in Burma.

Note the "Skate to Work" campaign to save gasoline for the war effort.

Actress Claire Luce is in a uniform and not skating to work.

Note "New York Defense saving staff".

I must look up "Munda, New Georgia" ...... but viewing that CBI patch gives me the energy to pull out an atlas.
