Marines

Post by Lawrence Tandy » 04 Jun 2003 17:38

Hi all, I was wondering if somebody could help me. Well I have tons of info on the European part of ww2 and am very familiar with it, I am sadly lacking knowledge of the battles against Japan. I know all the big ones, Gaudalcanal,Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Tarawa, Midway etc., but not may details. What I would like to start with is a listing of U.S marine Divisions involved and their campaigns. I've always been fascinated with the war in the Pacific, and I feel that I have shamefully ignored this important theater of operations up to now. Also, if anyone could tell me which US PARA unit was fighting the Japanese and any operations they took part in I would be much obliged. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help and the forum as a whole for interesting debates.

Cheers.
