Are these men of 7th Navy Beach Battalion, in Normandy ?
I am puzzled because helmet markings don't match

LCT (6)-538 was assigned to Group O-1 (TF 124.3) (16th Inf RLT), so 5th ESB and the 6th NBB. The 7th NBB was attached to the 6th ESB of Assault Group 0-2, (TF 124.4) (116th Inf RLT).
