US units equipped with British 25-pdr - March 1945

This topic came up on another forum. In late March 1945 the US received 100 British 25-pdr gun/howitzers as a short term replacement for the 105-mm howitzer in a small number of US Field Artillery units. The identity of the units that exchanged their US pieces for British guns, even if only for a short time, does not appear to be readily available. An afternoon searching suggested the 76th and the 692nd FA Bns as possible candidates, both non-Div units normally equipped with the 105-mm howitzer.

I found one brief reference via fold3, in the attached.

Is there a list of the units that made the change?

Thanks,

Gary

I've also seen a reference to US units using 25 pounders in Tunisia - 151st artillery - which I wasn't aware of before.

The US 147th Infantry Regiment also used 25 pounders on Guadacanal
