Hi,
I want to know about this point. In WWII, do they using phones communication? I'm talking about the camps that close from the front war lines. For example, a general wants to call the base or a camp?

The exact method varied from army to army. When the German occupied France they depended heavily on the French telephone system. Later the US Army with its more plentiful equipment supplemented the French system much more with is material.

In the 1980s & 1990s when we set up a brigade or division CP we covered the landscape with temporary telephone cables.
