No they are Sturm-Ruger target pistols.

Actually they look like Savage Arms Auto pistols, I can't remember the calibers this pistol came in, 25cal and 32cal I think. All kidding aside Ruger 22's are very similar, they may be a copy of a Savage Arms pistol.

I have my father's Ruger .22 from the early '50's (in it's box) but these do look like P08's--the famed Luger. I don't know about an earlier Savage copy and would be interested in hearing it's history. Any more information would be welcome and informative.
Again, the question is "what the heck are these?"

Any woman with a gun is dangerous.

The worst are drunk ones coming into a bar waving a gun looking for a husband. Almost the scariest thing I have ever seen.

You should have said 'missing' husband!

I pictured an ugly, drunk woman storming into a bar, pulling her pistol out of her handbag, and saying:

"Listen up you drunken bums! I'm tired of being on the shelf. I want a husband and I want one now! Either one of you volunteers or I shoot you all one at a time until someone does!"

I know my way around handguns -and felt earlier on ready to leap to a reply - but didn't. Wisely so - as I'm still puzzled. They do NOT look like Colt or Hi-Standard .22's. They're certainly NOT P.38's - even I was leaning towards Lugers - but cannot believe that an obvious US propaganda picture of WW2 would show US women sporting German firearms. The search goes on........

Hi,

I think that those guns could be Colt Woodsmans...

Just a bet.
