Yep, my Dad was with A Battery, 547th AAA AW Bn (Mob) as Assistant Platoon Leader and later Platoon Leader of their four M-16. The battalion was attached to the 90th almost continuously from their arrival on the Continent 14 June 1944 and are counted as honorary Tough 'Ombres. He was with TF Weaver during the breakout and was with the battalion during the Moselle and Metz battles, on the Saar (including an interesting incident at Rehlingen that is mentioned in Lorraine Campaign) and in the Bulge, until they reached Oppenheim when he was evacuated with jaundice. After a spell in hospital and leave in Paris he rejoined the battalion in Czechoslovakia on 8 May 1945. From then until he returned to the States in July the battalion was engaged in transporting DPs from Germany to Italy and vice versa.
So do you have a connection with the 'Ombres? You seem to have a fair knowledge of them.

My Dad was the "spare" lieutenant in Battery A and commanded the ad hoc M16A1 Platoon in the Battery. Do you know what battery your Dad was in?GRACIAS-TO90 wrote: ↑23 Dec 2022, 11:51Hello my father was also in 90th division Tough ombré’s 547th AAA M16 Quad .50 cal in Bastogne all the way to Czech Republic at the end of the war .. Re: The U.S. 90th Division
I will found out what battery he was in . It should be on his discharge correct.. except I’m on vacation because of the holidays . I don’t have any of his discharge papers with me or photos..
My dad was a private PFC praying for civilian..
There is something I would like to find out about but I don’t want to speck of it on here ..
My father passed away in 2005 at 83 years old..
I do remember the name on the of the half track.

I'm on vacation too but will help if I can. His Battery will probably not be on his discharge, just the Battalion.
The name of the half-track should probably begin with an A, B, C, or D, which normally identified which battery it was part of.
By Dad passed away on 26 October 2006, just shy of his 85th birthday. if you like, you can PM me here.
