I don't know if any of you have ever heard of the Battle of Brisbane, 1943 (I think off the top of my head).

Australian troops have a three day series running gun battles with American GI's in the city of Brisbane after and American MP shot dead a drunken Australian soldier during an argument!

Result: Several soldiers, both American and Australian killed. Hushed up at the time to save already strain relation between US and Australian forces in the Pacific and the Australian troops are moved from Brisbane to avoid further blood shed.

I've heard of that; wasn't there also a scandal about several Australian girls having been killed by an American soldier?
