Kohima casulaties breakdown
The Commonwealths casulaties in the Battle of Kohima (spring 1944) was 4064. Thats the figure given in vol 3 of the offical history The War Against Japan so I assume it's based on official figures. But - can anyone tell me the breakdown of these casulaties in dead, wounded, missing and POW?

Re: Kohima casulaties breakdown
The book is Kohima, The Furthest Battle, written by Leslie Edwards and published in 2009.
2 commanders of 4 Brigade, 2nd Div, died during this campaign, both on the GPT Ridge. Brig W Goschen was killed by a sniper observing an attack on 7 May, whilst Colonel J Theobalds was mortally wounded on 11 May when a grenade landed in the slit trench he was in, during a visit to the front.

Re: Kohima casulaties breakdown
The 652 casualties of 50th Indian Parachute Brigade at Sangshak, on the approaches to Kohima, should perhaps be included.
