Hello Prosper,

Hello Prosper,

seems there was RAF activity that night,
39 aircraft were sent to Dunkirk and 4 Bristol Blenheims were 'intruding'

Maybe the target was Zeebrugge and the RAF bombers made a mistake???

At Blankenberge they are persuaded it was a crippled RAF bomber plane that got rid of its bombs,
several civilians were killed.

Hello Cnock,
I just read the following text :
dat geallieerde bommen te Brugge tien en te Blankenberge elf doden eisten.
https://www.dbnl.org/tekst/jacq003belg0 ... 1_0015.php
But no mention about a british squadron and I did’t know if it was in the month april 1942.
Here is the translation of the text in dutch language
Casualties of allied bombings were 10 civilians death in Brugge and 11 civilians in Blankenberge
