The normal Battle had a single long glazed cockpit, as opposed to looking like 2 Hurricanes mating.

The elongated canopy was a hallmark of the Battle, it was also very reflective given its sheer size.
In an attempt to reduce its reflection from the sun and thus give away its position, some Battle Sqns painted
over a fair proportion of the canopy.
