I would say the bombs are probably the British G.P. 500-lb Bomb Mk IV without its tail, because the transit plug in the nose has a ring on it

This is an "Aircraft Identification Telescope A.A. Mark 3" . It was the British equivalent of the US Battery commanders scope in us AAA units. These were used by the battery commander to identify and direct his guns to targets.
