Patchett Mk1 submachinegun

According to my information the British used an early version of the Sterling submachinegun in very small numbers ( about 200 guns) during the fights after DDay.
Does anyone have some more information about its use during WW2 and pictures of the Patchett Mk1 ?
Thanks in advance
