On Nix.jpg we have a naval officer with the rank of Commander not an Admiral.

Navies do not usually have generals. Their top brass are called admirals. (Although if you go back a few centuries, IIRC the Spanish navy and perhaps some others did call their top commanders something like that.)

L6 looks like Ismay. L8 is Harold Macmillan.
