German coastal batteries & the ship "Empire Lough&q

Post by Peter » 24 May 2003 19:36

Hi does anybody have any details of the incident in the English Channel on 24 Jun 44 when German coastal batteries bombarded and sank the British freighter "Empire Lough". It was sunk despite fire fighting attempts by 2 tugs from Dover.
thanks
Pete
