It being a fine day today, we went to see if we could find the control bunker of the Starfish site located just south of the village of Thorner (north-east of Leeds). Well, we did find it, in good condition - though of course missing its internal doors and fittings. Grid ref SE 387 400, located adjacent to the Leeds Country Way. Would there originally have been a blast wall in front of the entrance?
