Hey.
I have a question, how many divisions the Great Britain had in the metropolis on September 1, 1939?
How much was the United Kingdom supposed to move the division to the French offensive?
Best of all.

The official history for the 1939-40 campaign in France can be found here;
http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/UN/UK/U ... index.html
That should include some of the detail you're after.
In September 1939 there were a total of five regular Infantry Divisions in the UK. Four of these were in France by the beginning of October 1939 with the fifth joining in December.
From my old notes, there were 12 1st Line Territorial Army Divs plus 11 2nd Line TA Divs in the UK by around November 1939. By April 1940 there were five TA Inf Divs alongside the five regular, plus three more TA Divs acting as pioneer formations (no RA, reduced Div troops). 1st Armoured Division arrived in May 1940.
