Markings on LVTs in British service

Hi there!
This question may be oddly specific, but-does anyone know what are the markings on the side of pontoons of LVTs in this picture?

I'm almost done with preparing stencils for my LVT papercraft, but those still bug me. My best guess is that those are factory markings of some sort, but I wasn't able to find any photo clear enough to descipher what exactly those say.
Can anyone help me with that?
