I think you might need to work your way through the files on the 1st Corps here https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/C1360064

Its either you or me - and you want to know!

It is clearly a 1 (AIF) Corps organisation. 10th July 1941 Looks post Crete and Syria. Its about one month after John Laverack took command of 1st Corps - so maybe it was one of his innovations. You may find more in the relevant volume of the official histories. https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/C1417307

This might simplify the search somewhat. It is the AIF locations list from July 1 to 12/31/1941.

Is there some context to what was going on and where in Palestine? It may have been a location rather than a unit used in redeploying the AIF divisions. or it could be the Reinforcement Officers School established in Palestine in July 1941.

Now that is an outstanding document. Just what I was looking for!

The "Reop Camp" was found in not-original-source material that I hoped could be used, as it corresponded with much that I had previously found.
But the latest doc you linked to is just what I need. Now I can junk the rest.

(Now to find the same for the RAAF  )

Many thanks.
