Sources on the use of tankettes for colonial policing in the Raj.

Hello, I've recently been reading David Fletcher's works on the Rolls Royce armored cars and the light tanks Mk 1 trough 4. One of the uses they were given was colonial policing and general operations in the Raj, as the title says. I'm interested in sources about how they were used and generally about the experiences the British had using them.

Thanks for your time.

Colonial Policing is a term that covers a multitude of operations.

There is a section on using armoured Cars and tanks in Lessons in imperial rule : instructions for British infantrymen on the Indian frontier by Andrew Skeen ; foreword by Philip W. Chetwode ; introduction by Robert Johnson.London : Frontline Books, 2008. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Andrew-Skeen-L ... B00NBK8WBA

This is the unofficial guide on how to fight the wily Pathan on the North West Frontier - all very topical. This include brigade and divisiaonl scale operations. This book is well worth reading to put into context the failure of the last two decades in Afghanistan

The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41
