The book "Britain's Plot to Kill Hitler" by Eric Lee says that "Britain had begun toying with how it might kill Hitler in 1938."
Is that possible?
That Britain, a democracy, considered an assassination of a legitimate head of foreign power in peacetime?
And why?
Britain's Plot to Kill Hitler (1938)
Re: Britain's Plot to Kill Hitler (1938)
there was a BBC reconstruction on Plot to Kill A H in 1944 ......never went through because the Grofaz blunders were actually helping the Allies...
Re: Britain's Plot to Kill Hitler (1938)
How did they know that?
German generals said that post-war - that Hitler made costly mistakes and didn't allow them to win the war - but it was unknown earlier.
And it wasn't even true.
Not to mention all the efforts to kill Hitler by the British were highly naive and amateurish...
