This short article discusses the first British Army capture of the Wehrmacht’s remote-controlled Borgward B IV Heavy Demolition Carrier Sd.Kfz 301. The capture occurred at Anzio and the vehicle was subsequently examined in detail by the British Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (REME).

The article was printed in the September 1944 edition of the USA professional military reference magazine ‘Military Review’. The original article was a British Army press release that was printed in the Times of London newspaper and the photo remains in use on several military websites.
