[= Inspecteur-Generaal] b/h Loodswezen. Generaal-Majoor A.R. van der Bont [= A.R. van den Bent], Adjudant in b.d.v. H.M. de Koningin. Generaal Winkelman[= H.G. Winkelman], Opperbevelhebber van Land- en Zeemacht. Luitenant-Generaal P.W. Best, Commandant 5e Afdeling Luchtdoelartillerie [= Commandant van de Luchtverdediging]. Luitenant-Generaal J.J.G. Baron van Voorst tot Voorst, Chef General Staf en Legerbevelhebber [= Commandant van het Veldleger, tevens Commandant der Vesting Holland, Gouverneur der Residentie]. H.Ch.G. Hi, can someone tell me the position of this generals in the picture? The caption is not mentioned which one. And also the first name of Admiral van Laer (I couldn't found it on internet).

Full name: Nicolaas Johannes van Laer (1876-1963)

May I ask where you found Laer's full name. I looked in all the books and Google searches that I could. I had no luck. WW2 Nederlands is a major research area for me.

Hi Jeff,

Sure - I made a search in the digital library of the Netherlands at https://www.delpher.nl/ and found an newspaper article dealing with his promotion to Vice-Admiraal in 1934 here: https://resolver.kb.nl/resolve?urn=ddd: ... eg21:a0148 It gives his full name.
