Let me clear something: self-imposed "24-hour rule" is now effective only at "Small arms Quiz".
For Yugoslav issues I accepted iffig's suggestion to extend it to 48 hours. 8-)
There are no time limits for "Air & Army" (Navy too) stuff; however, if I consider something "easy", you might expect that my quick answer would be "an Antic", rather then "the Edge" one.

Regards,
Edge / Antic

P.S. I put the new question - enough reluctance - this time don't rush to place an answer. :D
(As we say in my country: "What's fast is rumpless too")

Well, the Curtiss side has only a bitter laugh, since it was the Gumman who won the contract (AD-1) :?

Answer both complete & correct :D (plus kidding as a bonus  )

Well, if Grumman had won the contract, it would be AF-1. Douglas won with the AD-1, the famous Skyraider.

Thank you, Sonny and Cher and the anonymous pilot of the Soviet Hurricane (The Edge's grandfather?).
Now, a close up. What is it ? Be as specific as possible (country, aircraft type and so on).

Something tells me that Yuha has the answer, but no idea what after (like new question).

So this quiz question is not closed yet - B or not to B :D, I'm still wating for the full answer.

(Remember, folks, The Edge is not Sitzkrieg, surrendering the position after a first shot  - even if this shot dispatched the squad leader)

Sikorsky S-43 B? It is unique in being the only twin-fin Baby Clipper.
