Okay, how about this: Where was this picture taken, and/or what unit was operating this aircraft?

okay, Rob,
how about this: Fort Glenn Air Base, Umnak, the Aeutians, Alaska (USA), and : RCAF 111 (F) Squadron
Knowing you, I googled "WW II RCAF P-40 US navy" and got a hit.
greetings, the pb

You're right on both counts, pb. FYI, I got the picture from http://www.rcaf111fsquadron.com/life-in-111.html.

Hi pb,
My first thought was Belgium, but I couldn't find any German-built aircraft in the Belgian inventory. So perhaps you're referring to Switzerland?

Except that to the best of my knowledge Switzerland has four official languages instead of three

hi, Dreeze,
Switzerland it is, of course.
I may have been unprecise but I did not mention Romanish as not being a "national" language with a parent nation.
over to you !

Re: The official AHF Allied & Neutral Air Forces quiz
Hmm, I have to withdraw this question...
My source said it was a B-17 variant and being in a bit of a hurry I didn't check it.. But on closer inspection I don't think it is, or rather, I'm pretty sure it isn't. The shape of the cockpit doesn't match and the fuselage is too small for a B-17.
I think it is in fact a Japanese Mitsubishi K21 "Sally".
I'll try to think of another question, but in the meantime if anyone else has one, than that's o.k. too.
Sorry

Dreeze

That's right, Iffig. Also known as the whakket gannet, 8 of them were built as commercial airliners. All of them were used by the RAAF as air ambulances.
Your turn again.
