A Spanish officer, yes... but not Félix Verdeja.
He was a general, and with that in mind, there is a detail in the photo I posted that clearly reveals his identity.

He seems to wear a Medalla Militar and a Medalla de Sufrimientos por la Patria (in the "Herido por el Fuego Enemigo" Version". Still, I cannot see who he is .....

And what is above the medals? :)

It seems that Waleed already knows the answer...

He looks like Luis ORGAZ YOLDI. But there is still a problem as above his medals he wears what looks like an Alferez Provisional rank badge, which is curious for a General. Is there any explanation? ..... In case this is the correct answer, I think Waleed should post the next question., as he knew from the begining. ....

Yes, iffig, he is Luis Orgaz Yoldi, High Commissioner of Spanish Morocco from 1941 to 1945...
And yes, he is wearing an alférez badge, and this is the detail that clearly reveals his identity... for in June 1938 Franco gave him the honorary rank of "Alférez" for his work in creating the famous Academias de Alféreces Provisionales during the SCW, and from then to his death he proudly carried this rank badge in his uniform.

And now, as you want, over to Waleed.

So, an honorary rank of Alferez Provisonal! I should have known better!
We have the same thing in the French Armed Forces and I have once met an Admiral proudly wearing on his sleeve the rank on honorary Légionnaire 1 st Class. For some reason, the French Foreign Legion had awarded him this rank .....

Thank you Waleed. Of course I meant US 1 st Arrmy Group. I suppose the noticed by Mimbrogno pentagonal shape was part of the deception. Now, what is this?
