Most probably in Damascus; at least in the Middle East. You are on the right track!

I believe your truck is a Delahaye Model 140.
If the photo was taken in Damascus, that would fit also as the French were operating in Syria.

It is the 1940 Schofield tank from New-Zealand.
Well Waleed, I am sorry, ther was an ambiguity in my question: I was after the vehicle type.
If you want to post next question, please do.

Actually, it is the second prototype of the Schofield tank, as the first one had a rather different (and stil more nightmarish!) type of tracks.

So, OK, no hard thoughts. Who can identify this vehicle and its owners? I mean owners at the time when the pic was taken. An extra bonus will be given to those that are able to identify its (two) previous owners and its (two) previous designations.

Almost everything exact, but not a BA-20. So it is easy by now. If it is not a BA-20 it must a .... (You know the other soviet armoured car which almost everyone mistakes for the BA-20!)

A FAI, of course. Otherwise, just the story you told!
There is a simple way to distinguish the FAI and the BA-20: the FAI bottom hull features a broken line (a kind of inverted "V") which is missing on the BA-20
Your turn!
