I'm looking for info on these 2 members of Czechoslovak military mission (which was app. only 2-men strong), assigned to General-HQ of the Slovenian partisan forces:
* Vladimir Slechta; Cadet/Junior Off.; with mission from 5 January 1945 on (between 16. 2. and 12. 3. was in Bari, Italy); he lived in Croatia from 1939 and then joined Yugoslav partisans (before the Italian capitulation). He was member of reception team for the British aid and was then in 1945 assigned to Czechoslovak military mission.
* Dalibor Koreis; Major; Chief of the Mission; with mission from 5 January 1945 on (between 16. 2. and 12. 3. was in Bari, Italy); before the war was a diplomat (Economic Dpt.) in several Balkan countries.
For Koreis I found (:cs/:en WP) that he also fought in Africa and that after the war was trade attache in Belgrade (1947-48) and then Gen. Consul in Berlin (1948-50). Died in Berlin in 1950. His son is Vojen (Voyen) Koreis, Czech-Australian author & artist.
Any other info on them?
Regards,
Klemen

on the Vojen Koreis blogspot there is a photograph of Dalibor Koreis.
In 1916 he served as a cadet in 91st Imperial and Royal Infantry Regiment stationed in České Budějovice.
D. Koreis wrote a novel titled "Kam půjdeš, gorale?" meaning "Where will you go, highlander?".
Best regards,
