General Lvov
Some time ago, I read something about a certain General Lvov, commander of an autonomous russian army, who was defending the oil fields of the Caucasus. That man ordered the execution of 15000 soldiers in order to give an example to some units that had organized a mutiny ( they had murdered several political commissairs). Doe anyone know more about such a terrible man? Any detail of the battles he fought against von Kleist?

The only general Lvov that can be in question is Lieutenant-General Vladimir Nikolaevich Lvov, the commander of the 51st Separate Army of the Crimean Front, who was KIA on 11th of May 1942. I have never heard this story though.
