i usually misspell this guy's name(and many other's...) but i have some questions about him.

milan dijlas was one of tito's top men. i have always read that he was a montenegrin. i have read two different books that describe him as a "montenegrin of albanian origin". does that mean that dijlas was an ethnic albanian born in montenegro or does that mean that he is an ethnic montenegrin from albania? i have always seen him described as just montenegrin.

does anyone know what his ethnic background actually was?

Hi Balrog:

If you are speaking of Tito's long-time associate Milovan Djilas, as far as I know he was born in Montenegro (Crna Gora), and considered himself as a Montenegrin (Crnogorac). In one interview, wherein he criticized all 'Balkan' nationalists, he referred to the Montenegrins as "my tribe". I'll try and find the interview and give you a link to it.
