Czechoslovak Army Generals

#1

Post by AJK » 23 Oct 2002, 21:24

For over 9 months I have been unsuccessfully trying to obtain a copy of the following book, which provides biographies of the Generals of the Czechoslovak Army:

Fidler, JiÍí: "Generalita Ceskoslovenská. Biografie Armádní generálové 1918-1938." Praha 1995.

I have tried the military archives in Prague (no answer), a specialist bookstore in Prague (no answer), the Czech embassy in Washington D.C. (could not help), and am at my wits end. The book is not that old, so must surely be available somewhere?

Any help that readers of this Forum could provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

AJK

Hello-

You can try the Library of Congress website http://www.loc.gov --they usually have just about everything, and you might be able to have a look at it thru interlibrary loan. Also, the New York Public Library http://www.nypl.org might havbe it, but I don't know if they lend their books out.
