DAF flag/banner for sale

#1

Post by randomclark » 07 Dec 2014, 02:00

This banner is double-sided with the center cogged wheel and swastika sewn onto the red field. It is 100% authentic. Appears to have original lanyard and metal clip.

It is large………..59"x110". The center "emblem" has a 33" diameter. It is in good shape with two very small rips (size of a quarter or less), some minor staining here and there, and the white background has spotty discoloration. It is double sided. I have not tried to clean or repair it.

It is fairly substantial in material/construction weighing 2lbs 5oz.

I've tried my best to capture any flaws and discoloration/stains in the photos. the true color is something between the two tones you see in the photos which were taken by different cameras at different times of the day. if other photos helpful just let me know.

Price $540.

thanks, and I'm open to suggests as to how I can improve the description.

Doing nothing wrong, just remember this is Christmas season ( No extra money to buy militaria) price point might be out of reach $540.00, maybe no one on AHF needs a DAF banner.

D.A.F. isn't the most exciting "branch" of collecting.... and your asking price is "nose bleed" level IMHO.... especially with damages. This isn't really a "collectors" forum as much as it is a "historian's forum".... but certainly worth trying it here... (after all... it's free!)
Good luck... (I'd drop the price 25/40% and maybe you'd have some action....). Of course. you can ask whatever you wish...

Well I've done a bit more diggin' and I'm inclined to believe John G. was correct and that I had this DAF flag priced too high. Sooooooo, lets knock off a $100 bucks and try a new asking price of $440.

Indeed you did...................I stand corrected, if you were in town I'd buy you a beer at the local VFW.

I sold a ragged blood flag & a superclean kreigsmarine flag about a month ago for almost $700 for the pair. So there are buyers out there. I regretted selling them instantly. Billious
