Please! Dont put erkennungsmarken Up for sale! in My point of view for many reasons 1. In respekt for the dead, especially those Broken, must have been found with a Corps. 2 In some countries its against the law to deal with such items (Germany ) 3. I personally dont encuourage this kind of trade. It only make it worse. Its Still People looking for their relatives - fathers, grandfathers

Best regards
Georg

Hi Georg,
1. All the items are found in german soldier capitulation places. There are no items that are found with corpses. If i ever find dog tag with corpse, i give it to organizations that deal with dog tag returning to family members. Other items are sold because i found them at places where soldiers lost it or threw them away.
2. In Germany its not against law to sell that kind of items, you should read some legislation. Their legislation prohibit to deal with items that contains german svastic (3rd Reich).
3. From dog tag its not possible to identify the person because it contains identification number. With dog tag you can go to some German institutions that deal with dog tags but they will not give you any official information, its secret.

p.s. You should read some literature before you say your opinion.

Hello

I have read a lot about this and in My opinion is this kind of business disgusting. Especially when the erkennungsmarke splitted,. Only One part left, Which is a indication that it has been digged Up out of a Grave. The other part went with the old unit.

You say that you have found the dogtags in a place where they was disarmed. Even as a Pow the soldiers kept the dogtags.

I Will take this matter with the other moderators with the prospect that I wish we phorbid this kind of trade.

I also want you to Read this article - https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.spiege ... 6-amp.html

Regards
Georg
